The BBC’s withdrawal of the powerful documentary, ‘Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone’, epitomises how much the UK’s national broadcaster is beholden to the Israel lobby.
This was the final nail in the coffin for many BBC licence fee payers. Despicable spineless behaviour and as usual avoiding the obvious. How the hell can they NOT show it. It’s playing out on all of our screens all day every day courtesy of the IDF soldiers and the long suffering residents of Gaza and now the West Bank. At this point when the whole world has already seen it the BBC are still trying to avoid showing the truth.
Shameful. Complicit in a genocide. I hope one day they are held accountable
So a tangential connection to Hamas, operating in a civil, governmental capacity, is reason to invalidate this documentary, and this is supposed to be a lack of transparency as well? Regardless of the significant social welfare functions served by Hamas, any mention of it, in any context, is reflexively taken in the pejorative, and is taken as pretext for Israel to further its extermination of the Palestinian people. The BBC and the rest of the Western media, and their government masters, abet this in their spinelessness, ignorance, and laziness in depicting the ugly truth about Israel and the Zionists for what it is.
i haven’t seen any news or circulation about this gaza documentary, which shows the power that the bbc holds! it is such a shame that we must be on our toes regarding every little piece of news about a global issue, and to see whether the murdoch corporations allow them to appear before us. thank you for this piece
We refer to the ‘BBC’ here but just what part of the BBC was responsible for this act of moral treachery? Was it just the Chairman or has Israel managed to get a bunch of its people placed in high positions thereby ensuring an atmosphere of fear amongst any programme makers dealing with Palestine? If it’s the former then this is a political issue and there is hope that courage and honesty may yet prevail on Palestine hopefully soon. If it’s the latter it’s a coup and we must consider the Corporation a propaganda arm of the Israelis. It would be very helpful to know which it is.
But what WOULD the Israelis have done if the BBC had had the spine to stand up to them to present the truth? At some point - and if we are ever to save ourselves and our societies from the creeping fascism that submission to Israel’s will will bring - someone of significance needs to ‘test’ the resultant charge of ‘antisemitism’ in the media and, almost certainly, the courts.
I can’t think of any better way for Auntie to redeem herself.
The political wing of Hms being proscribed in the UK is probably part of the issue for the BBC and their staff, in addition to pressure and bias. This is another reason why the application to have this removed, being represented by Riverway Law, is important.

If you rely only on our CBC, you wouldn’t even know that this documentary exists
Oops, I’ll try again.

I'd be cautious considering MEE to be independently funded, more like secretly funded, and allegedly by Qatar: https://www.arabnews.com/node/1519151/amp
